Clayton Moore

Teaches: Guitar and Bass Guitar

Chords, riffs or the groove underneath it all: Clayton teaches guitar and bass guitar at the Collingwood School of Music. Explore lessons that connect practical playing skills with the music you want to make, and get to know Clayton through his introduction video.

Clayton grew up watching his dad play classical guitar and was amazed at what he could do. He took lessons himself as a kid, but the first time he heard Metallica on the radio, he knew classical guitar lessons weren't for him anymore. He got his first electric guitar for Christmas at age 12 and never put it down.

Playing music quickly became a huge part of his identity. He got more serious about it in high school and started his first band in grade 10. It felt great to meet like-minded, creative people who were more interested in playing music than going to the mall or playing football.

Clayton graduated from Humber College's Bachelor of Contemporary Music program in 2009 and has pursued his passion for teaching music ever since. He ran Lowe's School of Music from 2014 to 2021.
